Sitting here tonight finishing off a couple of letters and a postcard, when the trusty TWSBI started running a little dry.

As it is a vac 700 I unscrewed the end cap and gave it a little pull to flood the feed again (only seems to happen with some inks, PR at the moment) pulled it out a little too far, and without thinking pushed it back in again.

Yep, smart move, what a galah!

Ended up on my shirt as well, ran around like a real Bruce looking for the stain remover, well, it worked alright, straight off the shirt and now embedded on my skin.



Somehow also ended up with some on the wall opposite where I was sitting



For the record, Private Reserve Naples Blue. Certainly gives a new meaning to colour swab......

The word Bruce does tend to change depending on the context (it's another Australian-ism), in this case take it to mean a wally or a fool.

It is actually the opposite side of the room, not sure if it was from the pen or transferred there during my hysterics, around 13ft away.

Don't feel bad. When I was getting the last remnants of Iroshizuku Shin-ryoku out of my Goulet test vial and injecting it into my converter, I somehow managed to get ink all over my fingers. I bear some resemblance to the Jolly Green Giant now.

Never forget to take into account the human element, any pen can explode like that if one does something stupid
