Razor: Valet C1 auto-strop, Canadian Variant- MFG 1920's, original gap .011" and changed it .007" to mellow it out. I really liked this change I did a couple of years ago and enjoy this shave. Todays blades are possibly sharper than yrs that have gone by?
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE (2)modified, excellent blade, very sharp and smooths out nicely over uses, great longevity.
Soap: Speick- mild spicy scent with great lather qualities, post shave feel average.
Brush: Yaqi Chianti's 24mm knot, excellent lather creator with heavenly like soft tips, nice back bone for a gentle scrub and great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock American barber with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BbS + no irritation + no weepers = :a17: Excellent shave with my C1 Valet Auto-strop + a Gem modified coated blade.

Muhle Silvertip-A, 21mm
Hampshire Wool Fat
Occams oren-3dot
Feather Proguard [ 2 ]
Pitralon Classic A/S lotion

After using the rather hefty Hiram for 10 shaves I have moved onto The Oren. Despite the weight difference between the two, I had no problems in adapting to that change and had a trouble free quality Shave.

A new thread prompted me to try my Er little lather catcher. I have way to many untried razors lol. The british er in the pic is a back up because I like my daily one so well. New gem blade, Tabac, with either brut, vibr or ogalla bay rum lol. View attachment 1212559View attachment 1212560
I really enjoy using the Everready 1914, mid range with great audio fed back. It seems I always get a excellent shave with a Gem Personna SS PTFE blade, it don't get much better IMO for a SE razor.
