SE blades

Just wondering where everyone who owns a SE buys their blades. The reason I ask is I found a GEM 1912 and was thinking of picking it up but I want to know how hard it is to find blades for it before I do. Thanks.

Not sure what's available in Canada, but I buy the stainles GEM brand made by Personna at Walgreens. My favorites are the Treet brand carbon steel blades from Rite Aid.

Yeah - we are lucky in the US as far as SE blades go - you can pick them up from pretty much any drug store.

Sorry, I also have no idea what's available in Canada.

Since I consider myself a true gemocrat I will be glad to pif you a few blades as soon as I get my package of 100 from the current group buy later this week.

Please PM me your address if you are serious about buying that 1912 and I will get some blades in the mail to you early next week.

Thanks for the input guys. Maybe I'll just have to look around here to see if I can find some. Looked on both Fendrihan and Rasage Poulin and neither had any that I could see.

Also, gaj I greatly appreciate that offer of sending me a couple blades. If I do decide to take the plunge on this razor I will let you know.

After making sure SWMBO was ok with my new found purchase, I was "allowed" to get the GEM. I'm looking forward to seeing what the difference is between that and my DE.

I don't ever recall seeing single edge blades in Calgary.

You could try some of the smaller independent drug stores.
You may get lucky.
