As promised, I update you on the last of the 3 after shave products purchased from SCS. Today I used SCS Oakmoss Lavendula AS Cream, after a shave with the matching soap. All I can say is that I am now an SCS acolyte.
While it is called a cream on the bottle, it is much more of a thick balm. It is certainly not a milk. This stuff has a lovely outdoorsy smell that is hard to describe. I will have to settle for the word: "pleasing". It is a mild lavender that is oh so easy on the nose. It's skin soothing properties are first rate, and as with the other two SCS products I have used recently-Avocado oil balm and Mediterranean Citrus splash, a little goes a long way.
This product may be my favorite of the three, although I would hate to have to choose. The Oakmoss Lavendula is very soothing and calms the skin almost immediately. It dries to a nice soft finish, and is certainly less noticeable than the other two products, which is not a knock on them, as both have earned a spot in the rotation. This product also contains a tad of menthol, but as I noted with the Avocado oil balm and Mediterranean Citrus splash, it is just the right amount. I am not one of those guys that likes to get his face shoved into a mountain snowdrift in the morning right after a shave. In this case, as with the other two products, the menthol "kick" is just right-cooling, but not overly so. The other goodies calm and condition the skin, and leave it just right for the application of an alcohol EDT or cologne. A matching EDT/cologone would be the bomb on this. All in all, the SCS crew has done it again! Kudos to Sue and the gang on another great product. Will order more soaps, creams, balms and splashes on the next go round. I urge all to support and buy from SCS.
