Scrubby Brush. Semogue 620 alternative needed.

Hello All,

I was looking to buy a semogue 620, having heard what a wonderful stiff brush it was and the way it just 'eats up' the hardest of soaps. Unfortunately, it just can't be bought here in the UK without paying the extortionate postage costs from abroad. So....can any of you kind people suggest an alternative?

If you give me a few ideas I'll do the legwork and see if it's readily available in this country.(Some of the semogues can be bought here thanks to the usual websites).

My current brushes are the Edwin Jagger Best Badger Medium and Vulfix 404 mixed badger and boar. I just fancy something that'll make light work of my MWF, DR Harris and other soaps i plan to buy in the future.

Any suggestions?

Cheers in advance.

Boar brushes start off firm and stiff but with use become very subtle and soft.

If you want a stiff brush that stays stiff look into a "pure" grade badger.

I had a Simpsons Beaufort B4 that was as firm and stiff when I sold it as it was when I bought it and it will be that stiff when it is worn out decades from now

Yep, A stiff brush is what I want. I didn't know that boar softens greatly, I know that the tips soften and split but I thought that as they usually start stiffer than badger than they would generally end stiffer than a badger. I'll definitely look at that suggestion. Cheers Turtle.

Any other recommendations guys?

Shop Vulfix for either Boar or Pure Badger with a short loft. Your brush is out there close by I'm guessing. Good luck. I have a Semogue 610 that will handle any soap if that is available.
