scotch and stowe razors?

HI,
i have noticed some listings on EBAY for Scotch and Stowe razors! does anyone have any info or personal experience with them? thanks.

Nice fat steel handle on one I got, carrying a generic Merkur style head. I think it was about $14 shipped, happy as I was after the handle only.

Nothing to complain about, they said it was a cosmetic blem but I saw nothing.

As stated, nice heavy handle. The head on mine has terrible blade alignment problems. Just be aware that it's a crap shoot concerning the heads on these. Think I"ll get a Parker head for mine as I like Parker razors.

I bought a Precision, and the head was garbage. The handle is a Maggards MR5 handle branded with the scotch and stowe name. Good heavy weight to it, but like I said, the head was trash. Big alignment problems.

A lot of companies sell razors using Maggards handles. I'm not sure who makes the handles for them but they are nice. I just buy my stuff from Maggards direct now. Great company to deal with.

The head I got from them had bad alignment issues. I bought it for the handle anyway...
