Another hundred through it today for a running round count of 350, no malfs today. Ammo was old Tula steel case, too. New mags are also running flawless.

My slight pull to the left is from shooting Glock, I think, with their long mushy pull (ah, by comparison, no 'fence). Crisper SA-35 pull is an easier squeeze.

Remember how I was grumbling about the grain in the walnut grips?

This is totally a trial balloon (so to speak :chinese: ). And to my further delight, the SA-35 DOES have a hole for a lanyard loop, which I like and use in marine environments). Seperate thread to follow ...

I would love an SA-35 but unfortunately there is no left-hand safety. I have enough range toys that I can't carry for the same reason.

All of my 1911s are ambidextrous (except one Sig) but I've noticed that even those seem to be disappearing from some catalogs.

I don't know if the Hi-Power was ever available in ambi, and suspect it was not and that the Springfield is trying to remain faithful to its predecessor, but I'm am sure that lefties would be happy to forgive a minor deviation from this pistol's roots to include the feature.

And now, you can get on the SA-35 waiting list! :001_tongu

So, these work on the SA-35?...drop-in?...or is fitting/smithing required?

I don't know... But the LGS that gets you the gun could surely put it in... All BHP parts work.

Waiting for the workweek to end so I can put another couple boxes through it.

The rail grip will wind up in the pistol parts box eventually, but it's undeniably practical.

 Just doing my part for the economy, and besides, you KNOW we all need more guns. These are really nice! (Well. They are with the walnut grips).

My cousin now wants and SA-35 and can't get one, so. Eventually the supply chain will improve ...

BHPs generally require less fitting, but are likely to take some.

In that vein, I've mentioned the Novak ambi before. It looks like Ruger may be about the only source at the moment, but there is no better ambi for 1911s available. Rock solid, no flex.

Did it throw sparks with the Tulammo?

🤔 No... Nothing out of the ordinary at all.

Got another K of Blazer brass, though.

It also fits in a conventional WWII flap holster, even with the grip frame silliness on it. Still hope to get classic BHP grips for it to complete the WWII look.

🤔 Another hundred through the SA-35 with no issues. 450 rounds now.

:blushing: It also shoots like gangbusters with that pseudo-Glock light rail grip set... Usually it's "pretty is as pretty does." 🤣 Rockin' ugly gets it done, too! 😉 This pistol would shoot well wrapped with duct tape grips, or none at all.

The uglier they are, the better they shoot! :)

Those tactical grips are starting to grow on me. Makes the Springfield ‘serious business’ looking.
