Scored a rifle scabbard for a saddle

Was at a yard sale yesterday and spotted this

As I'm looking at it the guy having the sale says "if you're interested...75 cents"
I musta gave him an odd look because he then says " Hey I'm open to offers"

It is an old hand tooled, hand stitched, saddle rifle scabbard...it needs some stitching repairs and some leather conditioning, other than that its in nice condition. I think it is missing a strap too.

Actually he threw in this old Sunbeam coffee percolator for free, thought I was crazy for wanting it...works perfect, made my morning coffee with it today..

Gotta love old folks and yard sales :biggrin1:

Nice score! All you need now is a horse and Winchester 30/30. Oh, and some toenail clippers!

I can imagine the conversation:

"Honey, come here, I have to show you this new 30/30 I bought. Mind where you step, Trigger is not quite housebroken yet.........I had to buy the horse and rifle, check out this scabbard!"

Haha...actually I gave my 30/30 to my nephew..might have to give him a call :001_unsur
Not really a horse fan...but I think I can strap it to my 68 Triumph motorcycle :biggrin1:

Congrats - wow! I have good luck with using Lexol to condition leather with. I'm a percolator man too although mine is a stovetop, no plug. You should have bought a lottery ticket that day, luck was with you to be sure.
