What's new

Score in Finland

While on a month long business trip here in Finland, I managed to get off a bit early and visit a small antique shop. It was small but stacked to the ceiling with stuff. Luckily the nice lady owner spoke enough English for us to correspond. I know just enough Finnish, to either get my face slapped or get lucky.
digging thru the piles I found this Gentlemans grooming set, made in England. It had never been used. It looks like elephant skin, I have other elephant hide products, and it pretty much matches.
when I asked about "old razors"and made a stroke down my face. She thought for a moment then went to a drawer and pulled out this PAL display case with three new British PALs on it.
We dickered a bit, and I walked out with all of it for 30euros....and made a new friend.
A great day.

I thought the only PAL Safety razor was the one that look like the Barbasol Razor. Never seen these before :D I just found this picture, they look like the Star razors.

Sweet! I imagine that NOS razors are getting hard to find these days. I know that when they do turn up they're usually out of my price range.

Funny, that's exactly what I was going to say!

Yes, thats the one. It was last summer, I was on ebay Canada, when I saw this super razor with the PAL painted in blue. I wanted it so bad but I was still a noob with no notions of value.... Someone grabbed it for 65$.

I had a Saturday off, so I ventured out and found a parking lot "flea market". The old fashioned kind not the ones that are professional "vendors".
Lots of old razors around this place.
I decided to limit myself to something special....
A NOS Apollo travel set. 10 E? And the seller tossed in an extra pack of blades that was sitting there, Klingelschmied.
