I did not bid on this recent item, but it did look interesting. I wonder if anybody here knows anything about it, perhaps it was a B&B member who got this one.
The seller admits that, not only does this item not have the original handle, but the one that's on there is part of a plastic pen. That shows a sense of humor, if nothing else. He gives a link which is supposed to show how these originally looked, but the link no longer works.
I'd imagine that it held some sort of wedge blade, although the pictures in the listing don't make it obvious how it would have gone in there.
The first round of googling didn't come up with much information, so I thought I'd appeal to the collective knowledge of people here.
