Hi I am looking for a schick injector and I am just wondering if this particular razor is capable of taking the schick injector blades found in drugstores? Also what does the black dial on the bottom of the razor do?

Sorry but that's not a injector, looks like an old Instamatic which was a band razor like the Gillette Techmatic.

Correct.
The black lever advances the roll of razor sharp band forward to a new section of unused blade.
