Nothing like razor porn nice pictures! I'm sure you already know that the HM 500 is going to perform as smooth as butter!

I have the sliver colored model, but mine has a black, square handle instead of the round handle. They are great razors, and I'm sure you will enjoy it's wonderful shaves.

1st shave with the 500. Just like the I-2 HM.The blade took a few strokes to smooth out. 4 pass + touch up. So itsa nice razor and I actually like the longer handle. The shave was a dfs but I had to use more pressure than my beloved E-2s' . Still no blood or irritation even after after the atg. The blade, well it's not fair to compare but it ain't no (true Brooklynese phrase) Personna 74. I know, apples and oranges, but I like the historic feel of the razor and time period blade.
So will I use it everyday--no that's for my E-2s', but if ever I need a late day quickie(stop smirking) this would be a good choice.

Excellent CB! I thought you were probably not going to use the original blades (for collection). After shaving with aggressive razors such as an OCMM, 1924, and a Fatip I find it very hard to get cut with an injector. You have another nice addition to your collection.

Yup ,if you can handle a FaTip, then you can handle any razor! . I use the blades sparingly but I've gotta try them and I do like vintage blades.

Nice score, I have a mint cased, Black Handle Hydro 500, and another user grade that's my Daily Driver. The J Model & Hydro 500 are my Favorites.

Unlike DE Vintage Blades, the Vintage Injectors perform superbly. Though I have a few Current-Production Personna blades, which I like better than the Chinese Schicks, Vintage Blades are my first choice. I know the Supply of Vintage Blades is finite, so I scoop them when found at a reasonable price. I keep it capped @ 40 cents per blade, depending on Brand & Model, like the Schick Plus Platinum or Schick Krona, Gillette or Personna @~30-35 cents.

My Vinage Blades total 378, 55 Gillette, 60 Personna, and 263 Schick;Surgical Steel, Krona, Plus Platinum & Ultra Platinum.
