For some reason I was always under the impression that the design of the conical Triumph nib didn't allow for much, if any flex.

The Snork I have with the Triumph Nib is stiff as a board. I am not a big fan.

Now half as wise
From what I gather, usually the Triumph nibs are firmer than the open nibs, but it looks like they made flex versions of the Triumph nib. All of this talk of Snorels "forced* me to pull out mine and ink it up. It's an open nib marked M3. Not flex, but gives just enough to not qualify as a nail. I pulled out my Dad's Triumph nib Touchdown, and a couple of Snorkel Triumph nibs that need restoration, and none of them have any hint of a code etched onto the back, but all are very stiff. Would love to come across a stub some day.

The 1st pen I ordered for my rebuilds came in yesterday. The pictures were not great on Ebay. It's actually a Dip Tip. That will be easier to restore as it will just be a sack and gaskets. Still need to get some shellac and then I will try and restore it this weekend.

Thanks for posting this link. I was about to bid on one but it is an A4. Definitely would not want that nib. The one my dad bought for me in the mid 1960’s was a flex. Unfortunately, it has been lost or misplaced. 😞
