"Scent and Subversion, Decoding a Century of Provocative Perfume"

Just starting reading--perusing might be a better verb--this book by Barbara Herman. Intended to focus on vintage versions of important scents. Just what I needed! I have tried not to chase vintage scents for the most part. Seems pretty good.

It is a shame there is not more writing on scents these days. I feel like Luca Turin is the one who got me really interested, and since he has pretty much stopped writing, it has been harder to keep an interest.

Anyone else had a look at this one?

I am deeper into this. She is not as focused on true vintage stuff as I thought. She talks about such things as Canoe, English Leather, Aramis, Dakkar Noir, too.
