Scalloped razor Top Cap questions

So i'm sure and hopefully i'm wrong, but the top cap pretty much has to be made for the razor base and incompatible with other brands. I would like to customize one of my razors with a scalloped top cap because they just look so cool. This probably wouldn't be an option correct? I would want to either use an Ikon or Razorock for the scalloped top if my theory is incorrect about caps specifically made for bases.

I would love to see some of your razors with scalloped top caps if you can snap some pictures please (photo bomb this thread)

DSCosmetic has the S9 and D8 razors that are basically Game Changers in .84 and .68.
They are so close that you can interchange parts between them without any problems.

And here it comes: They offer scalloped caps. You can just use their Game Changer clone or put the cap on your Game Changer e.g..

I am a huge fan of scalloped caps. My Timeless Slim and Bronze have one, and so does my S9.

There are tons of caps that are interchangeable between specific brands, but top caps are not standardized.

V95 and GC are not intercompatible.

V95 won't go with a Blackbird, either.

You can put a Timeless cap with a Blackbird plate, but not the other way around.

Yates 921 and RR BBS are totally intercompatible.

D8 looks like a GC, so good chance it will work.

I don't have a D8, so someone else will have to chime in.

Well for starters I don't have $200 if I could buy a guaranteed 25 million dollar lottery ticket. Seriously, I just bought a strop that drained every penny from me (left over from Christmas money) until my birthday, which is ironically on Valentine's day, now if you wanted to get me a birthday present for a peasant, timeless are VERY nice and i'd love to have one......

The DS caps will fit a Game Changer just fine. But do keep in mind they are not identical. My DS cap was noticeably thicker than the RazoRock version (especially the outer edge, which makes the biggest difference). It will make your hybrid razor a little milder and steeper shaving.
