Just finished polishing up this blade. It was a rusty eBay blade with no scales. Does anyone know what the original scales looked like? Is a 5/8 wedge. I was thinking about some cocobolo or olive wood, but then again I have never tried horn yet.

What make/model of razor is it?

I think one of the best things about rescaling is choosing how you want the razor to look.
Edit- This is weird, when I looked earlier the middle pic wasn't showing up, all I could see was the top and bottom.

Jonh S Holler and Co, (Tower Brand) 1867-1906 good find. First guess would be slick black, or Black horn. But could be anything.

I guess I am going to order some horn for it. The pin hole is oversize so I and going to get some 1/16" brass tube to line it with. Will post some pics when I am done.
