Being a newbie I fell in love with the sandalwood scent. So i decided to conduct a little experiment for myself. I purchase everyone I noticed mentioned here on B & B. I decided to use each one for 4 days, use my favorite boar and favorite badger with each one. Also use my 1959 fatboy, 2013 progress with each one. I used a feather and astra sp in each razor with each soap. And I decided to use a scale of 1 - 5 ( 5 being the best) to rate them.and the categories are scent, ease of lather, quality of lather, performance and skin feel after the shave.
Truefitt and hill=scent-3, eol-3, qol-4, performance-3,+ skin feel-3 overall A soap worth trying
TOBS= scent-4.5, eol-5, qol-4, performance-4, skin feel-4 overall great soap!
Mama bears= scent-3.5, eol-4, qol-2.5, performance-2.5, skin feel-3. A so so soap
Art of shaving= scent-5, eol-5, qol-5, performance-5, skin feel-5. An amazing soap worth every penny
Geo f trumpers =1+1+1+1+1 I really dislike this soap
Proraso=0+5+1+1+3 disappointing soap
Caswell & Massey=0+0+0+0+0. Might be the worst soap I have tried to date. Save your money
Razor rock=1+3+2+3+1. Another disappointing soap
Mitchells wool fat=Scent not a true sandalwood 5's across the board besides the scent. Not sure what the scent is
This was fun and a little expensive. It really showed me what I like and dont like, and I was very surprised by the results! Happy shaving gents
