I've been trying to justify buying this product for some time now, but no matter what I do I can't seem to get a decent lather out of it. It's a shame since the scent is great. I figured I must be missing something, because out of all my soaps and creams (Proraso Green, C&E Sandalwood, TOBs samplers, Godrej Deluxe Lather, RazoRock Urban Rituelle and La Toja stick), this is the only one that refuses to lather. At best, I was only able to get thin lather that disappears in a few seconds.
I've tried doubling the amount (two almond sized dollops), hot water and cold water, even lukewarm water. Face lather, bowl lather, could it be my brush? It's a Proraso boar.
Any help would be appreciate because I'd hate to relegate this one as a mere face soap given it's inability to perform.
