Went to the local agricultural salerooms last week and amongst other things bought a large wooden box of miscellaneous old nails, screws, spanners small tools and lots of junk. When I got home, in a toffee tin amongst some old sewing equipment, to my surprise I found two razors. One is a Red Ring of the type with the silver plated tube handle, and the other one is unnamed but of a good quailty. There was also an old Dubarry bakelite shaving soap pot and a wooden handle shaving brush with hardly any bristles left. In all, I paid £4 for the wooden box and contents.
The Red Ring has a small crack along part of the handle tube so I took it to our jewellery repair shop in town to fix it.
Will post photos of both later.
