With the new TSA rules forthcoming, I decided to get a little SAK to carry around so I ordered a Victorinox Rally(along with another 100 Astras.....). Anyhow, that spawned a little bit of interest in SAKs. Today, I stopped at one of my normal razor haunts and asked the proprietor if she had any pocketknives. She did have a few mostly Chinese knockoffs and beat up no name knives. However, there was the following knife mixed in with the rest. I know very little about SAKs, but this seemed real enough so I bought it. A quick google search tends to make me think this is a late '50's/early 60's model. The main blade says "WENGER DELEMONT SWITZERLAND" on one side and "WENGERINOX" along with the crossbow emblem on the other. The logos on the scales are a somewhat normal cross and shield. The other side has some sort of crest and with word "ZURICH" below it. Can anyone provide any further info to a knife novice? Age, model name, etc? Also, are there any tips for cleaning it up? It operates pretty smoothly, but has some gunk in it. I don't want to rush into anything just in case.
