The Krona is a fantastic razor, one of the best made in my opinion. Harder to find than most vintage models though. I really like the silver metal knob version over the all black.
Another Barbasol FH I didn't need at all. It's the shine that gets me.

It seems like a great mild razor.
I looked for the gold plated Schick forever before giving up. I've seen some for sale but they always are part of a kit and unaffordable.
Haha. I have done the open and sealed trick more than 7 times. With some razors it is actually 2 sealed and 1 open.Should have bought two, one to open, one to NOS. Now you have to live with the consequence of your decision
Think of it this way. Owning a nos and never using it is pointless. You could always look at nos razors on the internet.Lucky to have gotten this NOS Schick. Even luckier is the dude who got his hands on dozens of these and selling on the bay.

The handle on the top is actually from a 1934 Red & Black Special (New Deluxe). Too bad you didn't get the head. Congrats on the Gold Ball End Tech.

This is not always the case. My bathroom is a bathroom with 1 razor, 1 brush, a couple of soaps, blades, and aftershaves, and my den is a museum. My wife calls it the razor room lol. In it I have lots of safety razors, straight razors, strops, vintage and modern soaps, aftershaves, blades, and memorabilia, along with a few item from my other hobbies. Most of it is on display.
Sure, not always the case. My "den" is not a bathroom, it's a large walk-in closet in the bedroom. I'm obviously single. It's still a walk in closet, nice cased razors notwithstanding, and there's no such thing as a display only razor . In my bathroom I keep my "closers" (currently Shake Sharp, Enders Speed, Mark Cross, Leaf Twig)This is not always the case. In defense of dedicated "collectors", a Museum is whatever the Museum owner says it is, regardless of what it may have been before being named a museum.
I use everything I buy, hardware and software, but I can understand the bug that some get with the concept of collecting.
Having said that, unless you are a dedicated collector or plan to be one, I personally don't understand why you would keep a single NOS item rather than use it.
But - thank goodness there are some that do collect or we wouldn't have the amazing database of information that is Mr-Razor.com

As long as I give free rides to the neighborhood kids I get a pass. Strange none of them have asked to see my Double Ring. Maybe I need a "Museum" sign for the closet door.
