Safety Razor Acquisition Thread.

A 1925 Richwood gold set. Bit of laquer damage under lid unfortunately but clean box otherwise. Razor has just had soak in dish detergent and cloth buff. That's it for gold. Need to track down a gold blade bank.

And the comparison between the gold new improved tuckaway version I already have.

Beautiful razor! There is a double cloth, one red, one tan, sewn together. Red one is impregnated with jewelers rouge. Works a charm on the gold razors without damaging the finish. Fabulustre. The best part is the blacker they get the better they work and they last forever. Mine is ten years old. Just keep it in the ziplock it comes in.

Hello there, Single Ring. This case has seen some better days.

This poor old thing. The tube stays in place when it’s assembled, though.

Teeth are in pretty good shape, with one snaggle in the middle. The cap has some wear.

They arrived a minute ago. The Feather Weight and the Schick are mint, the Gem has a bit of plate loss on the underside of the head. Looking forward to try them out.

Just arrived, have no clue what it is. Weight and size are similar to a Bulldog, was once gold plated. No markings, my guess is it's Italian.

Nice find! I like it, but I'm a big Bulldog fan. That's pretty much all I use now.

If it came with a blade that's your blade holder (snip or file the edge and use as shim to hold a Schick Proline blade).
