Up until this point, I've always thrown my blades into the trash in the cardboard or plastic packet that they came in. Then I realized that they are (mostly) steel and should be recycled. I found that you can buy metal containers to put blades into and then put that whole thing into the recycle bin. But then you have to keep buying those.
Today I took a 12oz steel can that had the evaporated milk that I use for lattes, emptied it, rinsed it, and made a long enough slice in the top to slip blades into. It was going in the recycle bin anyway. It's not pretty, but it will stay under my sink anyway.
Anyone else do something like this?
