S&W SD9VE springs upgrade kit from M*CARBO

Cold, wet, rainy, windy day and so I installed a trigger spring upgrade kit from M*CARBO in a Smith & Wesson SD9VE

This basic reduced power spring kit is the same as one sold by Apex Tactical but also includes a small "installation tool" aka slave pin which I found infuriating.

Should you purchase this kit from this vendor I would strongly advise you to ignore the installation video they made and instead use Apex Tactical's video tutorials. Why they would instruct someone to hammer out the locking block trigger pin from the right side of the frame and through a captured slide stop lever is anyone's guess. Do it the Apex way and wiggle the slide release lever while you push on the pin with a Glock armorers punch or similar tool.

Using Apex's tutorials the re-installation of the same pin is a breeze.

Trigger pull weight reduction is about a third. Will have to go out to the range for a wringing out. Hopefully no light primer strikes.

Range Report: no light primer strikes. Trigger pull, though long, is like glass.

It's like...like...like...
