S&W has issued a recall on some M&P Shield EZ Pistols regarding a cracked hammer that might allow failure to engage the sear.

We mailed my DW's pistol this past Saturday.

I FedExed my wife's pistol on 12/14 and it is scheduled to be delivered back to us 1/4/21

I mailed my wife's pistol on 1-2. What was surprising to me was that I didn't receive the recall directly from S&W and I did the registration directly with them. The first I saw anything about it was here on B&B. Another reason this forum is one of the few places on the web that I trust for anything.

I saw it first on B&B but later got a letter from S&W. What is interesting is that the box that the letter and the return pistol came in a box marked SAW. Smith & Wesson or S&W was not marked anywhere.

I noticed that on the label for the return. It said SAW. I thought it would be S&W.

Received it back this past Saturday, Jan 9th. Not sure if they replaced anything or not. The paperwork doesn't say.
