I picked up a Russell Barlow on the bay for cheap because it needed restoration.
Knocked out the pins and started sanding.
After the initial sanding with 320 grit I moved to 600. Reassembled the bone scales with a little super glue and brass pins. Used the magnetic jig to hold the blades while sanding.
Ready for assembly.
My pin finishing was mediocre, but the blades snap and everything is tight.
The knife had the pivot pin replaced at some time in the past. There was considerable rust on the springs, so they were thicker than the blade. The blade was loose and would hyper extend. I thought the pivot hole was too big, but when I took it apart, everything was good. Just rusty.
