Rudy Vey vs. Ever Ready 300 PBT

I bought an Ever Ready 300PBT that I wanted restored so I contacted Rudy and off it went last week. It arrived this morning and I am quite impressed with what I saw upon opening the box. Rudy dressed it up with a Silvertip Grade A knot, 18mm. Rudy had told me the original knot size was 15.8mm. Love it, thanks Rudy!

This is not my actual brush. I reused this photo because I didn't take a before shot. The handle on my brush is in better shape than this one, but, the old knot looked identical. The original 300PBT is pure badger bristle.

Here's the restored brush in Silvertip (dry)

Funny that you used that picture. I actually won that exact auction, here is the pic of the handle after I softened the edges ,bored it out to 22mm and finished the restore. Knot is on its way from TGN.

I like it! Looks very nice. Those rounded edges give it an updated look.

I had forgotten to take a before photo of mine before I sent it to RV.

Thanks! It took me about 3 hours total to get it to this point, I'm going to add BBs and hot glue to fill the handle to give it some more weight, as the handle is totally hollow. I'll then stuff it with a TGN finest XH 22mm knot in fan shape. Here's a pic of the ending auction. Rudy did a wonderful job on yours, I love this handle style.

That there be some serious winning bidding action you got going on.

I've been wanting one of these handles, but the only one I've found looks like it got too close to a curling iron.
