Royall Lyme made in Bermuda

I have heard and read (on Amazon.com reviews) that Royall went downhill when they licensed their mfg to a US company. The purists claim the made in Bermuda version was far superior.
At Pasteur in NYC I saw 8 oz bottles made in Bermuda (the 4 oz there were made in US).
When I called the US mfg they claimed they've had exclusive mfg for 7 yrs.
Should I chance it and buy the 8 oz made in Bermuda bottle which could be 7 yrs old?
Does anyone know any background? I got some samples and liked the Lyme and want to try the Mandartin.
I love the Lime scent ( bought Trumper Lime which lasted about 30 mins ) and would like to find a good Lime cologne that won't break the bank.

I would go ahead and pick up the "Bermuda Batch" if it's not too expensive. But--I have the 4 oz. bottles of both Lyme and Spyce (U.S. made) and I love them. They smell fantastic and I have been really pleased with that purchase. Would not hesitate to buy it again.
