Rosh Hashanah shave . Happy New Year !

My first shave of the New Year .... absolutely sublime.

Face lathering with RazoRock Pilossoft brush and RazoRock XXX soap.
Two smooth comfortable passes with my Maggard's MR5 - V.3 razor
loaded with a new Voskhod blade.
Alum block, followed by Pinaud Clubman splash and Kiehl's Facial Fuel.
BBS result with no irritation, cuts, or nicks. A great way to start the year.

L'Shana Tovah! My shave this morning was my first of the month. I didn't have a chance to shave on Saturday or Sunday so I had a fair amount of growth. For OCtober, I used a NEW short comb with a Personna Red (Israel) and was treated to an amazingly close shave with almost zero irritation and zero weepers. What a great way to start the year.

I used a synthetic brush and Taylor soap today. On the holy days, I avoid mixing animal hair and dairy based soaps. I'll get back to non-Kosher shaves (badger and CRSW) on Wednesday!
