Rose Cream

So, during my mini binge on creams I purchased a Queen Charlotte sample pack that included a rose cream and I really enjoy the scent. :w00t: But, it burns my upper lip. After some searching I found a thread placing the blame of irritation from rose soaps on the fragrance oil used rather than essential oil because rose and sandalwood seem to be the most expensive.

Any recommendations on rose creams made with essential oil?

The only ones I know of are Art of Shaving (whose rose is marketed to women, for some reason, and comes in an incredibly emasculating pink package) and Straight Razor Designs (whose rose-EO soap costs $50). They're both expensive, and I hear the AoS one is really lightly scented, but they're worth a shot, and SRD does do samples. SCS used to have a rose-EO soap, but their rose-EO products are now down to an EdT and an aftershave balm.

I find TOBS Rose very nice for sensitive skin. T&H was a tad irritating but OK. Trumpers was nice with no issues but the hot pink color freaks me out. My all time favorite rose product is the Trumpers Rose soap. A very subtle dry rose scent but its performance is amazing. It is better than my other Trumpers soaps?

I find the TOBS rose fine for my (semi-sensitive) skin as well, but QCS also works fine for me. All the roses you've mentioned are FOs, though, though they're all different FOs which the OP may or may not be allergic to.

TOBS Rose rocks. I bought some for SWMBO and I thought it was going to be a bit too feminine for my tastes. But in all honestly I think it is one of the most masculine scented creams out there.

As for irritation, I think I have quite sensitive skin and I have had no problems with it at all.

Trumpers is a good rose cream i found, as are all thier creams, its is a very pinky colour, but delivers well.

Salter's Wild Rose is great, too.

Yes, the scent is wonderful. I'm not a rose scented cream type of guy, but this stuff has me tempted. I'm assuming the performance is on par with the Salter Vetiver - that is to say, excellent. I know the vetiver is scented with EO, so I'm assuming the Rose is as well...? Maybe someone who has it can check on that.

Vetiver EO is a lot cheaper than rose EO (most EOs are, save Sandalwood). I don't have the Salter ingredients list, but to my nose, my AoS rose (which is scented with just EO) and Salter rose don't have the same scent at all -- Salter's a touch powderier, a bit sweeter, while the AoS is a deep, pure rose. It's not impossible that the Salter has EO, but it's definitely not the only thing in there if it's there. My instinct is to say it's an FO, however.

I had one Rose cream that would make my upper lip tingle and was reluctant to try another. For Christmas I picked up TOBS Rose and have no problems with it. It's become one of my favorite creams. Easy to lather, gives me a close shave and leaves my skin soft.

I had the pleasure of my first shave with TOBS rose this morning. On opening, I was hit with what could only be described as a sweet 'Turkish delight' smell while not being over powering. In fact the scent makes the cream good enough to eat!

I mixed a generous quantity in my bowl and it whipped into soft peaks in no time - in fact of all my creams, this lathers in the shortest amount of time.
After a fantastic four pass shave with my Mukur Futur with Crystal blades, I can honestly say, in my limited experience, this is the best cream I have tried to date and is well recommended to anybody who requires a daily, reliable and sweet scented rose cream.

Whilst my GFT Limes and TOBS Sandlewood are too both solid and reliable performers, the rose will be my 'go to' cream for my weekday shaves.
So to the OP, whilst I am unsure as the ingredients of TOBS rose cream, I can testify to it's slick, moisturising properties with zero irritation and is well worth consideration.
