Rooney 1/3 price differential

Vintage Blades has a Rooney 1/3 in Super Silvertip for $169.99

T&H has a Silvertip Style I, Large for $109

So...what am I missing here? I was under the impression that the T&H brushes are just the regular Rooneys with a logo, otherwise identical sizes and hair quality. Is that not correct?

It is correct. You get a very large savings buying the Rooney size large from T&H. Don't forget about the discount code to get 20% off.

Rooney logos are very, very, very expensive.

T&H - just three little letters.

T&H actually claim they have their brushes stuffed with more hair. Don't think they can substantiate it, and the knot specs are the same.

Store brands are always cheaper, even when they are the same thing made by the same company, usually it applies to food but I guess brushes too.

I am under the impression that Jim from Vintage Blades hand picks the Rooney knots he sells as well.

I doubt very much that Jim flies to London to pick out the brushes he sells. What he will do given the somewhat differences between handmade brushes is pick out one for you that might have a loft difference etc from others. Tell him what you want and he'll try and accomodate.
