Rookie learning razors

Hello, All, and thanks everyone for all your shared experiences. The B&B has been extremely helpful.
I've only had a dozen or so straight shaves. None great, but a few have approached tolerable.
I'm wondering if there is a type of grind that might work better for me than another. I've got medium beard courseness. My skin is very sensitive to breaking out after a shave. I'm shaving my cheeks well and somewhat comfortably with both hands. Everywhere else is tough.
I have a Dovo Astrale, and Genco Lincoln, and a Wostenholm Pipe. All were recently honed by a professional honemeister (each by a different one).
I am interested in buying a newly made razor, more for fun than anything. I love the vintage stuff. It has been recommended by a reputable source that an extra hollow ground, singing blade may be best for my skin type. Interestingly, the Pipe gives me the most comfortable shave so far.
Just curious what everyone's thoughts may be.
Thanks so much,
Damon

I believe most of the Thiers-Issard razors are very hollowed, at least compared to Dovo. The evide sonant is for sure. And Dovo makes the prima klang.
That's about the only two new razors.
The Goldedge is another very hollow razor which was made in large quantities, but if you find a new one it'll likely cost you a small fortune.
I think one of the custom razor makers, forgot who grinds full hollow, but I don't know how thin that is and it'll also be expensive.

As far as what i's better, I can't tell and it's probably premature for you to draw conclusions at this stage also. Once you have 6 months of shaving experience you'll probably start distinguishing a bit better what does the grind of the razor do. I wouldn't be surprised if one grind gives you a lot better result right now and two years from now it's a completely different grind.

Not entirely sure if any custom makers make them extra extra hollow. Look for some American brands, they made really hollow grinds.

I wonder why the razors you have aren't really cutting it for you though. Normally I'd just blame it on the sharpness, but since each was honed by a different honemeister I'm stumped.

Thanks, guys, for the input.
I'm sure the razors I have aren't cutting it due to my stropping and shaving technique. I'm just looking at a new razor for fun, more than anything. I really like my current razors, and I have a few more American vintage ones that will get honed up in the future.
Anyway, thanks again!
