A long time ago I walked down the Spanish Steps and a short time later walked into Gucci's. A pair of shoes - $50 American. There was one cologne offered, the original for men. I loved the scent and wore it for several years - and then it was gone. Fast forward to a few weeks ago. In an order from Aedes De Venustas was a sample Numero Uno by Carthusia. I put some on and after a short dry down I was pleased to find that this scent is close to what I remembered the first Gucci was like. A bit lighter - I ordered a bottle I like it very much.

This is an awesome scent. I had a bottle back in the 80s. Very rich scent. Nothing like this would ever be produced today.
