Robert Conrad, Star of TV’s ‘The Wild Wild West,’ Dies at 84

Robert Conrad, the athletic, two-fisted actor who starred as Secret Service agent James West and did his own spectacular stunts on the 1960s futuristic CBS Western 'The Wild Wild West,' has died. He was 84.

It's sad to see the icons of my childhood passing on. I loved the Wild Wild West as a child and even today it's an entertaining nostalgia trip.

Since there's not very much on prime time network tv I want to watch (not going in to why, propaganda) and very little on the sattelite tv, I've been doing dvds. Have complete series of Wanted: Dead or Alive, Simon and Simon, Cannon, and currently finishing up the High Chaparral series. Also have several movies like The Wild Bunch, The Last Hard Men, Men in Black, The Hunt for Red October, A River Runs Through It, etc. I think the Laredo tv series is going to be next, but The Wild, Wild West may be in the cards.
