Oh, and a darn good writer, to boot. The Right Stuff is definitely in my top five books to be re-read on a constant basis.
I’ve been wracking my brain to remember the title of a book from years ago that was about the New Journalism of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s featuring the stories behind writers like Wolfe, Hunter Thompson, Gay Talese, Joan Didion, Norman Mailer and others...the ones who inserted themselves into the stories they wrote about. An excellent read.
