Richard James Savile Row - any one tried this?

This seems to be one of those holy grail scents at Basenotes... Oft proclaimed a great "white shirt" kind of scent.

Sampling it eludes me. I sense it has been discontinued. There is some confusion over the name as well. I believe when originally issued, it was simply called Richard James, but Savile Row was also printed on the bottle. It is easily confused with Richard James Cologne, another product from that house.

Havent been able to find anyone with a sample yet. Anyof you uys ever try this. Think it kind of came and went fast. It was a basic designer scent that struck a chord with a lot Basenoters. A lot of descriptions that I find don't seem to give a real feel for the scent...

I have it, picked it up for $25 at a local store. It only showed up briefly down here for a short time, before disappearing.

I think what fascinates some people is when they come across supposedly masculine scents which seem to be made up almost entirely of floral components - including some often found in women's scents.

I'd put Richard James in the same category as other devoid-of-woods designer scents like Custo Man, Trumper's Fougena, Givenchy Insense, Gian Franco Ferre's GFF and Fleur du Male - all scents my wife isn't fond of as she doesn't think they're masculine, though she thought Richard James was masculine. She banned me from ever wearing Fleur Du Male.

I wore it last week, liked it initially, but my initial fondness wore off as the day progressed.
Regards,
Renato
