Costliest goods (on the market)

Plisson High Mountain White brush in the largest size with a genuine horn handle
Creed Green Irish Tweed Shaving Soap
Castle Forbes Pre-Shave
Pils DE Razor
Your blade of choice

I will stop there, since with after shaves and colognes, the sky's the limit.

Of course, you don't have to drop a huge amount of coin to get a luxurious shave. :001_smile

What are the costliest products you can buy for the most decadent shaving experience?

God bless.

High Price does not equal high quality/ best shave.

See the horrible reformulations of English Fern by Penhaligon's, and Floris No. 89 for example.

It really is a ridiculous price for a razor. I don't like the scales either. They just don't look right to me for some reason.

That looks like a clown straight to me: the scales look like garbage, and the 3 pin pivot point looks equally wretched. Not impressive at all!!

That razor was made by Hommage. The scales are actually plated in platinum apparently. They have other shaving sets at more reasonable prices. They are however cartridge razors and over engineered in my opinion.

This link shows their stuff (including a $150 sample kit); http://www.hommage-shop.com/

That thing should be called the "Damn Obscene" razor, not the "Damascene" razor.

I think that has something to do with the fact that the blade is Damascus Steel.

I had a pocket knife that was Damascus Steel. It was a beautiful piece of work. The Straight Razor is a bit overkill though.

If you can't apply your shaving cream with anything less than a brush made out of the same material as the spoiler on Michael Schumacher's Mercedes Formula One car, congratulations, today's your day ... you just got lucky, because someone at Muhle had anticipated that problem and came up with the following carbon fibered solution for the low, low price of $680 (plus shipping, I'm guessing).

If you are in Europe it's only €330 which is about $465 so it would interesting to see where the extra 200 bucks comes from.

The Art of Shaving has a silvertip brush in a sterling silver handle for $1200 (on sale for $600). The most expensive soap I'm aware of is Martin de Candre.
