I'd argue that my Ambassador, the Konsul I hope to pick up soon, and all my other razors I bought when I didn't need to buy anything at all are the result of my RAD and not the cure.

I have picked up my Rex again this week after more than half a year.
After that long break I'm positively surprised. Using a Gillette Platinum and dialed down to 1.2 I get a smooth and decent shave. I had it more blade forward in Memory. Before I almost was sure to sell it. But now.. I think there's a place in my rotation.

I tend to forget about them, because I only have one tuck, but Gillette Minora stainless works extremely well for me in the Ambassador.

My dirty Rex with a weeks old GSB blade. I am one of those guys who doesn’t steam clean, polish, and dry off his razors after every use. Another great shave in the bag.

Rex, Wickham & Chanel did all the work. I just presented my face and it was easy-peasy. Any day is a good day with the Rex Ambassador.

This happened to me too. I was getting terrible shaves out of the Ambassador and I was going to sell it. I even posted it in BST and no one bought it. And I’m glad they didn’t because I picked it back up after 2-3 months and now it’s one of my favorite razors; I’m getting the best shaves in my life out of this thing, and that’s literally not an exaggeration.

It’s an RA kinda day! Setting 5 with a 2nd use Voskhod blade. Great shave!

A quick 2 pass shave this evening with the buttery smooth Rex & Bic Chrome combo. I’m really starting to enjoy this pairing as i get 4-5 great shaves per blade and it just feels wonderfully smooth in the Rex. May not be for everyone but, it sure works great for me.
