I rather enjoy this little concoction. A 2oz jar will set you back $12-15, and in my opinion it is worth every penny. If used daily, this jar would probably last me 8-12 months.... a tiny tiny touch goes a long way on a wet face. I found this cream to work beautifully at calming/soothing ones face after shaving, the cream had a wonderful scent to it, and it acted as a great, non-greasy moisturizer. This is certainly right up there among the better a/s mositure products, and I would/will purchase it again.

I'd give it a solid 8.5 out of 10.

Joel,

Did you pick this up at TJ Maxx, or was it full retail? Also, how long did the scent last after application? Will it interfere with other fragrances?

I picked it up at a local health food store - on sale for about $12.50 or so. Charles at QED carries this product as well... The scent doesn't live long.... just a few minutes - then it is gone, so it shouldn't interfere with other scents.

How would you compare it to CAR's a/s in the moisturizing dept.

I think the CAR is better overall - but as far as moisturizing goes... I think the Avalon gets the leg up on CAR's cream. The Avalon is specifically designed as a moisturizer - where as the CAR cream is more designed as a mens shaving a/s cream. For $12 or so - the Avalon is really hard to beat.... and it is designed for men/women - so your S/O can use it as well!

This might just be the product im looking for then......im hitting up the central market this weekend and I know they carry there line of shampoos so ill check to see if they carry this as well. Would you say it could be used as a moisturizer only like CAR's?

Sean,

You might try TJ Maxx first. I get my Avalon Organics shampoo and conditioner there, for about half price!

I wish I had one closer......with the price of gas ans all it makes more since to just pick up as much as possible in on place.

I'll give this a 10 out of 10.

Works very well as an ASB. Soaks in very well, leaving no oily residue; has a pleasant (although fleeting) lavender scent, and contains a host of skin healing ingredients to boot:

Features and benefits: This daily moisturizer is made with organic Turmeric, Arnica and Calendula to soothe redness plus superb antioxidant protection from Grape Seed Polyphenols, organic White Tea and Vitamins C & E.
