Restore / condition acrylics

I have several brush guy handles and they develop some matte scratchy looking patina around the knot.

What is the easiest way to bring them back to luster without damaging the knot

And is there a way to keep them conditioned.

I can try Perspex cleaner conditioner (used for aircraft and car headlight lenses) just afraid to bring a silicone layer on a brush

Micro abrasive pads is what I would use.

It will put a high polish on Acrylic and almost anything that can be polished. It can easily be used by just twisting the brush handle in one hand and holding the pad in the other without worrying about damage to the knot.
You could probably also use auto body high grit w/d paper to about 2k then buff with a cotton wheel in a dremel using any polish/scratch remover you like or just the cotton itself will buff it up.

The marks look like they are from beating the brush against the mug swirling.

Thanks the inside of my granit mortar is definitely not smooth but I do not notice banging it.
No problem with some maintenance every year though.

Pleased it has arrived and working its magic,
Novus is fantastic stuff I will always use it and recommend it.... :pipe:
But we do need to see your fantastic brush in its glory as we say pictures are a must we love pictures.

First make sure they are all 4 cleaned and polished up so far I see less scratch and a bit more gloss.

I started with nr2 and switched to nr 1
But might need to repeat that or start with nr 3

And I still have a oumo lotus fan knot in the mail to replace the tuxedo in one of them by a nice badger to get a pair

The result now is after one pass

And yes I bought the brown brush guy without a logo
