That the wasn't the before pic. The plating on old English Gillettes wears off more gracefully and this particular model had brassing on the top of the neck and the top plate was starting to fade. I wonder how they're plating techniques differed to that of the American counterparts. I know from old English Aristocrat's and Jr's. that I have that the plating was pretty hardy on razors from the 30's-late 40's/

Ah, one of these days... Nice work and a beautiful razor.
looks like a real nice plate job.....feels good to have a classic that looks and shaves just like new !
