I've recently acquired an Ever-Ready brush along with an Old Spice mug. The only bad part is the handle was a bit cracked. Along with that it's losing bristles quickly. Well, the plan it to replace the knot with a badger one. That part seems easy enough, but the cracks seems a bit problematic. Right now, I think, I'll have to simply use a rubber band or clamp to apply gentle pressure to the handle as the new epoxy sets, after installing the new knot. Not sure if that will work, but it's worth a shot. Any ideas, or insight is appreciated.

I've already found this thread http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=58175 , not sure if that has anything about vertical cracking in it....yet
