I foolishly mistook my vinegar for my rubbing alcohol (don't ask me how) and after the vinegar dried there were oxidation rings around where the droplets had been. This resulted in a much less attractive blade. Does anyone have a good idea for how to remove the rust?
I doubt that the machine would handle a full razor. It may be worth trying it out on a junker, but I would definitly not throw a razor which I had hopes of restoring in there.
If you want the entire razor polished up then go ahead . If you want to leave the scales alone apply masking tape to them . Simple enough .
The tumbler saves you a lot of rubbing and scrubbing . I find it easier to turn the on switch to the on position . Rather than messing with MAAS or Flitz and sand paper . Going up multiple grit sizes and so on . Forget all that mess .
I did a bit of a howto. It really depends on if its got pitting you need/want to remove (you can start from about 180 if its really bad) or its just a bit stained (600ish)
