Remove Rust Using Electrolosis

I was reading life hacker and saw this little tutorial for removing rust from a Hand Axe, I cant help but feel the same thing can be done to an old steel razor

I also suspect that you might be able to restore a greening brass razor the same way by using copper tubing or copper nails, or a bunch of pennies, instead of rebar, as to my knowledge, greening is just copper rust.

Have a look, the Pictures speak for themselves

While I've never tried this myself, I've read similar accounts in the past. It makes sense to me. I'm not sure I'd use it on a razor, but regular rusty tools and such should work great. Another thing I've used to "clean" metals, specifically brass as I collect old fire hose nozzles, is to soak them in Coca-cola for a bit. Surprising how well it works. Just think of what it does to your guts!

isn't this the same way razors are chromed too?, so it might remove the chrome too now that I think about it.

but that might be unique.
