I picked up a L'Occitane synthetic travel brush a few months back for about $10. I hit a nice sale and it was an impulse buy. Anyway, I hate the performance of the thing, but really like the design and appearance of it. I would like to replace the knot with badger, and am hoping for a little advice.
As background, I am a huge fan of the Rooney Heritage line. Great density, good backbone, and soft tips. I also have a Shavemac 177 Silvertip and Rooney 2/1 Super. I like both, but find them a touch scratchy. With that in mind, I would be grateful for suggestions about which vendors can give me that magical combo of dense-stiff-soft in a pretty small knot (which I am guessing is in the 12-16 mm range).
