Rejoicing and a Question

Brothers (and sisters too) rejoice with me as the lost razor has been found. The one I bought long ago in a land far away and have been looking for now about two weeks. But what age is it and is there a specific name for this variation of the model?

It is a black Gillette adjustable. Some variation of the "black beauty." It has the plastic base below the blade bay and above the selection dial. It has the knurled diamond shaped non slip handle instead of the fluted handle (with the flutes or grooves running the length of the handle) this one has the knurled diamond pattern. It says inside the blade bay D 2, not on the outside under the blade like most. Also PAT NOS ON PKG. All inside the metal blade bay. Outside on the plastic it says Made in USA REG US PAT OFF and the Gillette Diamond emblem.

Chrome is good. Handle not bad but some places don't shine like others. Is this black paint?

I got my feathers and derbys today. Fun in the morning.

Thanks for the info! It is a black slim super adjustable: http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/index.php/Image:Gillette_black_slim_adjustable.jpg With the knurled handle as in the photo. Probably isn't worth a lot of dough, but I like it and it shaves great. Plan on trying Feathers in it tomorrow.
I probably bought it in 1983 or there about.
