I used to enjoy seeing him on Letterman. A real pro with a cutting humour and unique delivery. RIP
Peter Green, too. 2020 gonna 2020.
May Regis rest in peace. He was on TV a lot.

Oh wow, i hadn't heard. Man, we seem to be losing quite a few lately.
I believe that he holds the record for the most time on TV. If he doesn't, then he held it at one time.

Dana Carvey did a great impression of Regis
Didn't he start, before Joey Bishop, as Steve Allen's side-kick on the early daytime"Steve Allen Show?" If I remember this right... unmentioned in his obituaries.

I met Regis Philbin in 1994 as he was waiting for an elevator at Boston College's Alumni Stadium just before my Eagles trounced his Fighting Irish. The man loved Notre Dame. He also donated about a million dollars over the years to Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx, where he went to school, and was actively engaged in fundraising for NY Catholic schools for many many years. In a brutal industry I got the sense Regis always remained a Christian gentleman. May he rest in peace.
