So check these cases out. Notice any differences?

Yes, besides the patent number text on the inner lid I can see one held a solid bar while the other held an open comb. That, in fact, supports my theory that there wer two versions of the Regent Tech. One was basically the Sheraton while the other was the precursor to the Aristocrat.

One has a small piece of wood that allows the snap (with pat numbers text) and the other doesn't (hence the mark on the wood.

I don't think they'res any proof one way or another that there was any razor besides an "aristocrat" without end caps in this case.

for starters, the small groove cut for the razor is wide, not narrow.

second, the indications at the end of the wood show signs of a large razor, not a small one.

third, there is markings on both for a center bar, a feature not found on an open comb senator or sheraton.

fourth, around this same time, the sheraton was already displayed in its own case.

The only other thing that I can see that was not mentionned is the finish of the case. The way the leather was folded let's say in front is different. I didn't pick-up everything else but that's all I could see.

Thats what I was thinking.
