Regarding the Gillette 7 O'clock blades, which is best ??

Yellow, Green or Black pack, each with their own qualities. Have you found them to be a good blade in general and if "yes", do you have a preference?

Gillette blades are all good in general.

You should specify which razor you're using.

The difference between one good blade and most good blades is small.
The difference between one good razor and most good razors is small.

This is where you have the opportunity to spend a fortune.
The combination of which blade and which razor will work best for you,
is difficult to predict.

I primarly use my Gillette Fatboy and Slim at 3-4 and Razorock Game Changer .84. In that order, then repeat.

I wouldn't use the green indian one; it isn't sharp. Maybe the black one is better. I haven't tried it, but that is the first one I would look at.

The Blacks (also known as Ninjas) are my (current) favorite (and benchmark) blades. Sure they're more expensive than the others, but there's good reason for that IMO.

Personally, I find the Yellows and Greens to be meh. :001_tt2:

There are actually two different Greens, the Super Stainless from Russia and the Permasharp Stainless from India.

I have used the two Greens and the Yellow. The Indian Green subjectively feels the sharpest to me, but it is true that the blade declines quicker than what I have observed the other two to do. From the Russian Green and Russian Yellow, I prefer the yellow (7 o'clock SharpEdge). It is sharper than the Green and smoother as well.

The Black made in India has a pretty good reputation and I would wager most would call it the "best" of the bunch. With that said, I recently bought 2000 of the Indian Greens at a low unit price of 6 cents a piece. I would have no problems discarding one after a single use, but the first two shaves for me are excellent and this is an option that gives a lot of value for me. I argue the Indian Green on the first shave is actually sharper than the Russian Yellow.

I am on it.

It will take a long time for me to properly form an opinion,
especially knowing that YMMV.
I believe that to be especially true for DE razor combinations.

I have used only the Yellows and Nacets. I find the Nacets are overall smoother and more effective for me in my slant razors. I have a tuck of Blacks on the way so I will try those out soon.
