Red Wing Heritage quality? Beckman Chukka?

I've been interested in the Red Wing Beckman Chukkas, but a bit hesitant on the price. I've been able to justify getting Allen Edmonds based on the perception that they will last a long time and be worth the additional upfront cost. But I haven't been able to get as much information on Red Wing. Any experiences regarding the quality, durability, value of various Red Wing heritage models?

I have a pair of the Beckman Chukka's - if you're looking for a beefy, heavy, and solid pair of chukkas, these are it (they could easily beat up a pair of desert boots in a fight, for instance). Quality-wise, they're on par with other high-end "work" boots like Wolverine 1000 Mile (I have a pair of those as well and the Red Wings are basically the same, just heavier!), but just below something like Allen-Edmonds. I would definitely shop around, the prices on all of these gourmet work boots are obscenely high but deals can be found out there. Here's what they look like after a couple of years...

If you can most of the red wing stores sell the boots for nearly $100 off of what they are online. Nordstrom's Rack also has them from time to time.
Otherwise even at full price they are worth it. I've had my 822's for nearly 4 years now and I love them. Currently have a pair of Iron Rangers that I wear for court (every day) and they'be been holding up amazingly well. I do have to polish them frequently but I think that is an issue with any shoe worn nearly daily.

Thanks for the input thus far! I've been wanting something that could be dressed up or down and that would be okay in the rain, which has pushed me toward something with at least a partial rubber sole. I think these could work for me, but I wanted to solicit feedback regarding their quality.

I have the RW Heritage Iron Rangers and the Beckman boots in featherstone cherry. Top notch quality all the way! The Beckman's I received from Amazon with 20% off. (Great deal). As another post mentioned - these boots are well worth it even at full price.

I picked a pair of these at a Redwing Trunk Show at my local Brooks Brothers a year ago, even at full price, they are worth every penny. In fact I'm wearing them right now.

I recently acquired a pair of Red Wing Heritage 9011 Beckmans in Black Cherry.
I've been wearing boots for years, and the Beckmans are the best I've ever worn.
They will take a while to break-in, but it will be worth it.
Even at full-price they're worth every penny (there are deals out there, though).
